Brownies, Brownies, Brownies! It is the first week of Fall, so we just HAD to make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Brownies! This is the first Pumpkin flavored dish that I’ve made for the Fall season. I either make these brownies or Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies (recipe will come soon).
Pumpkin. Chocolate. Moist. Divine. Enough said. I love the combo of chocolate and Pumpkin; it’s just a perfect match. A match like peanut butter and jelly, or macaroni and cheese, or bread and butter!
This year, it’s been a little harder for me to start using fall spices, decorating with Fall decor, or even wearing a sweatshirt and pants when it’s still hot and humid here in Mississippi! I’m sure I’m not the only one. So, I held off as long as I could, which I think I did a fine job at . . . only 3 days after the first day of Fall.
I really enjoyed the process of making these. I had my son helping me in the kitchen, and it was a cooler morning than it has been in months (come on, Mississippi, let Fall come already!) The smell of the pumpkin baking in the oven created that warm cozy Fall feeling deep inside my bones.
It’s hard for me to be patient enough not to eat desserts right when they come out of the oven. I’m sure I have toughened up my tongue and fingers by now from my not so patient self. I just love that soft, warm, chocolaty brownie taste.
So go ahead. Make these and dig right in! Just try to let them cool a little if you can so you don’t burn yourself like I always do 🙂
